All Seals is a recognized leading converter of high quality cork composition and cork rubber products. Our company’s reputation for excellence has been built on our ability to provide our valued customers with the most effective designing, engineering and converting solutions to meet their most demanding applications. Our main objective is to continuously exceed our customer’s expectations by providing them with high performance gaskets and sealing products, competitive pricing, on-time delivery and exceptional customer service.

All Seals has experience in the providing of precision products, including cork and cork rubber products. We convert custom cork gaskets and seals for industrial, commercial and consumer applications. Cork is a popular material for gasket manufacturing due to its high compressibility and flexibility. When combined with rubber, such as silicone or neoprene, cork gaskets exhibit good oil, solvent and fuel resistance. Our cork is offered in a range of grades that are impermeable, buoyant, elastic, and fire resistant. The standard thicknesses of cork materials range from 1/32" to 1/4" thick. All cork composition and cork rubber materials are available with or without pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backing. All Seals provides full production capabilities from prototype and short run quantities through large production runs.

All Seals Available Cork and Cork Rubber Materials

All Seals converts products from a wide selection of cork and cork rubber materials including:

  • Composition Cork
  • Cork/Synthetic Rubber Blend
  • Cork/EPDM Blend
  • Cork/Neoprene® Blend
  • Cork/Nitrile Blend
  • Cork/Silicone Blend
  • Cork/Viton™
  • Cork/Hypalon® Blend
  • Cork/Sponge Blend
  • Accoseal™ Materials

Cork Composition Gaskets

Composition cork is a lightweight and stable material. It is made from a hydrophobic substance that prevents water from penetrating. It exhibits excellent compressibility and moisture resistance and an aesthetic appearance making it popular for consumer product applications. Composition cork materials have high oil resistance, a high degree of compressibility and practically no lateral flow. They also possess an inherently high friction value and can withstand extremely high bolting pressures without crushing the material.

Advantages of Composition Cork

  • Extremely Compressible
  • Excellent Insulation & Fire Retardant Qualities
  • Highly Resistant to Wear & Tear
  • Unaffected by temperature extremes
  • Resistant to Sound & Seepage
  • Lightweight & Buoyant
  • Virtually Indestructible

Typical composition cork applications include: coaster & trivet backing, glass separation pads, gaskets, seals, strips, washers, bulletin board, protective padding, adhesive-backed bumpers, spacers and feet, die cut coasters & discs.

Cork Rubber Gaskets

Cork Rubber material is a combination of first grade granulated cork and a synthetic rubber polymer. This gives the product the high resilience of rubber and the compressibility of cork. It is manufactured by combining the cork, glycerin-glue, and a rubber binder under heat and pressure. The material is usually 70% cork to 30% rubber binder. The rubber is added to provide the ability to seal and provide chemical compatibility while helping to resist fungus, acid and weather conditions. It is an excellent material for gaskets and other industrial applications. Cork rubber material is available in a wide variety of rubber options including: EPDM, Natural Rubber, Neoprene®, Hypalon®, Silicone, Viton™, Nitrile (Buna-N) to best suit the chemical resistance requirement of the gasket. The selection of the best blend of cork and rubber with the correct density will ensure that the finished cork gasket or cork product will last for many years in your application.

Advantages of Cork Rubber

  • High Compressibility & Flexibility
  • Wide range of fluid compatibility
  • Good Resistance to oil, solvent, and fuel
  • Moderately resistant to fungus, acid, and weather conditions
  • Resistant to fluid penetration
  • Reduces levels of transmitted vibration, acoustic insulation
  • Good for low bolt load application
  • Anti-slip and impact-resistant, shock absorber

Typical cork rubber applications include: gaskets, bumpers, spacers, stripping, protective pads, anti-vibration, electrical transformers, electrical switchgear, sumps, and crank case covers.

Cork rubber gaskets are used in a wide range of industries including: automotive, railroad, aviation, agricultural, tractor, ship, transformer, petroleum, compressor and electrical equipment.
